Imagine a world where sports do more than build strength—they rebuild lives. S.P.O.R.T. (Supporting Positive Outcomes in Recovery Together) is a groundbreaking initiative that uses the power of movement and digital innovation to support individuals on their journey to recovery.
About the Project
S.P.O.R.T. is an international initiative designed to support individuals in addiction recovery by combining the power of sports with innovative digital tools. Developed by Limerick Sport Partnership (Ireland), the project is centered around Tús Nua, a mobile app that offers tracking, goal-setting, journaling, and peer mentorship to aid the recovery journey.
After a successful pilot in Ireland, the project is now expanding to new regions, including Réunion Island, with the goal of adapting and implementing these methodologies in collaboration with local sports clubs, organizations, and recovery experts.
How You Can Get Involved:
We are looking for local partners to help us bring S.P.O.R.T. to life in Réunion Island by:
✅ Testing and adapting sport-based programs within local clubs and organizations
✅ Providing feedback on the Tús Nua app to ensure it meets the needs of individuals in recovery
✅ Conducting surveys and assessments to explore how sports can aid addiction recovery locally
✅ Raising awareness about the role of physical activity in personal development and recovery
✅ Sharing project outcomes with sports clubs, trainers, rehab centers, and young people
